Fireworks

No, it's not really fireworks, but given the day, it seemed an appropriate title for something so brilliantly colored. Don't worry, no fire was actually involved.

@MJ: Thanks. Yes, it's the back of a male peacock. I'd never really noticed this part before because I'm always distracted by their tail feathers, but this guy had his tail down and walked directly in front of me as if to say, "Hey, look at me!"

@Susan: Thanks. Yes, at the zoo we went to yesterday these guys just roam free and he was quite content to let me snap a few shots before heading off to pick up the next dropped piece of popcorn. Happy 4th!
