Morning Ride

I played with this image for a long time, thinking that surely it must need some sort of processing to make it better, but I kept coming back to the original (minus the sensor dirt). Finally I decided to listen to that nagging little voice that was telling me to leave it alone. What do you think? What could I have done to make it better?

I have been totally overwhelmed again lately. Sorry I've been so lousy about commenting on your photos. I do visit every time I have a few free minutes. I hope you all are well and I hope to "see" you more soon.

i am quite happy with this the way it is!! what were some of the modifications you had wanted to make? i can see it as being a good sepia -- because it basically is a natural sepia... and then of course b/w too -- but i do love the warmth of these colors!! lovely!

You were right to leave it as it is Willow! I love the mood and almost sepia tone.. The light is lovely, but since you ask, I would have preferred a lower angle placing the rider's head and shoulders in relief against the sky line:)

I've purposely not read any of the other comments/responses. I would not do a thing with this. It's perfect as is -- the light is amazing and the overall exposure is what photographers strive for in such conditions. This is an excellent image.

It´s nice to see an untouched shot I have to say.The digital dark room makes it much to easy to make a bad shot better and the art of taking good photographs sometimes gets forgotten.This is great the way it is !!

You're asking a challenging question, willow, since most images can be presented in many interesting ways. Having said that, I don't believe you were misguided by that "nagging little voice". Well done.
