The Loner

This is the very top of Bell Rock. The scraggly trees clinging to narrow ledges high above the rest of the vegetation caught my eye. I'm impressed by their tenacity - they must be tough to survive up there so totally alone and vulnerable.

I have been totally overwhelmed again lately. Sorry I've been so lousy about commenting on your photos. I do visit every time I have a few free minutes. I hope you all are well and I hope to "see" you more soon.

Great shot! I like the diagonal line of the rocks and the deep blue sky. DId you use a polarizer?

@PD: Thanks. Yes, I use a circular polarizer on most of my sunny day shots. I love the deep blues and the way the filter cuts the glare. Probably my most used accessory.
