Birdie Buffet

Back to birds for a bit. If anyone knows what kind of bird this little guy is I'd love to know. There are a bunch of them that frequent my feeders. This time I put seed on the deck rail so they'd be closer for me to photograph. They don't seem to mind posing for the camera.

Gorgeous shot Willow!! Love the catchlight in his eye. I looked in my bird book and they are called Dark-eyed Junco, though like PD we called them "snowbirds" too because they seemed to come when the snow came.

I believe this is a Junco. Great capture, Willow. The detail is remarkable. My bird shots usually turn out dull since I have to shoot them through a dirty window. ;)
