Around Town - The Jiffy Factory

Posted by willow (Chelsea, United States) on 21 November 2008 in Business & Industry.

This group of buildings dominates the "skyline" in downtown Chelsea. This is the Jiffy Mix factory that lies directly across Main Street from the train depot and the Clocktower Complex shown in the past few days. It is still a privately owned business that produces baking mixes for muffins and things. They also offer tours of the factory for the local elementary school children and other tour groups.

As you can probably tell, I was running out of daylight by the time I got to this point so this will be the last of this series for now, but you haven't seen the last of this town yet. I'll come back to it with some winter images as soon as enough snow falls. I appreciate all the wonderful feedback from all of you that I've gotten regarding these photographs and the little town they represent. I feel incredibly lucky to be a part of both communities (Aminus3 and Chelsea, MI). Thank you.

I have been totally overwhelmed again lately. Sorry I've been so lousy about commenting on your photos. I do visit every time I have a few free minutes. I hope you all are well and I hope to "see" you more soon.

Thank you for visiting and commenting and sharing your photos! I love this site and all the people that make it so great. Photography is my passion and this is the perfect place for sharing that passion with other people who feel the same way.

Don't forget Silly Tuesday!!!! For more info see Liner's blog.
