I have no idea what this pretty little flower is called...
It's hard to believe that I have now been a part of the Aminus3 community for almost 6 months (as of October 23rd). What an incredible experience this has been for me! I feel like I am really focusing on my photography in a way that has never really been possible before and I love it! I never thought I would have enough work I considered "good enough" to put out there, but I am learning that not every image has to be "perfect". I look forward to reading through your comments every day - both the praise and the suggestions for improvement - and I love that I have been introduced to a whole world full of people who are as crazy about photography as I am. Time always seems to be in such short supply that it seems the best way I can respond to most comments is by visiting your sites. Thank you all so much for your comments and for sharing your creativity and vision.

I really like the lighting - showing how delicate the petals are.

Very nice composition and soft focus. Did you use a portable softbox?

@Eric Fry: Thanks, Eric. I didn't use a softbox. This was taken with me literally laying on the ground to get the underside of the flower and I focused on the delicate little curly part from the middle of the flower so that everything else was slightly out of focus and softer. I love experimenting with stuff like this, but the bugs almost ate me alive while I was on the ground. Oh well. Worth it, I guess.
