He is beautiful Willow but quite different from what we call a goldfinch in NZ one day I might even be able to get a photo of one to show you. I see quite a few when I walk my dog but he scares them off before I can say camera let alone get it out

beautiful! i like the blurred background too...i guess u get that from higher zooms. looks like a sparrow no? did u try some sharpening? it might help bring out the eyes more.

Two curious little chirps! The zoom lenses are a lot of fun but camera shake is accentuated and i think zooms and tripods belong together like bread and butter!
